Tico came to live at Olivia Farm in the late summer of 2007 after seeing and riding him at Green Valley Farm in the fall of 2006.  I bought him for three reasons…

movement, temperament,

and beauty

I love watching this stallion out in the field and under saddle.  He is a fabulous horse to ride and work with and has excelled in his training and performance.   He also has a wonderful pedigree of Dutch, German, and Norwegian horses that we find complimentary to many of the pedigrees here in North America.  I have been impressed with the quality of offspring he has thrown when bred to a wide variety of mares.   He has definitely improved upon the movement of the pairings in each case, but also seems to often pass on his nice golden color, his willingness, and his lovely head.

Tico is now retired from breeding.  If you are looking to get these genetics, Tico’s beautiful son, OFI Federico, owned by Kelly Munro of Grateful Pine Farm, is available for shipping chilled semen.
